I have been overwhelmed with all the news about our dearest Sarah G! since she finally tied a knot last month. Been reading updates and watching videos of her interviews. There’s no doubt, she is in a very good place. Though it may seem incomplete because of the reported rift between her family. She is handling herself with grace and confidence. My family here and back in Cebu, Philippines are so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Matteo Guidicelli. Here’s a video of my daughter singing Sarah’s Forever’s not enough song to let her know how happy we are for her.

The year 2020 and beyond

A lot had happened in the year 2019- the year that was. There were relationships who bloomed, while others have gone to the abyss. It is heartbreaking to have seen promising relationships eventually doomed. Both showbiz and non-showbiz individuals can definitely relate. Years of being together is not an assurance for a happy ending. Most of the time, staying in love and true to your significant other is a work in progress. For one, temptations are everywhere, especially if you don’t have a solid foundation. Being in love is hard to maintain. Once married, the honeymoon stage will end. That is why you and your partner should reconnect even after having kids. Take a time off, go on dates, like watching movies, or simply hang out with each other.

sarah and matteo The greatest news maker of 2020 was the announcement of Sarah G and Matteo G’s engagement. It was a dream come true for fans like me, popsters and bashers alike 🙂 Every promise of love and commitment is always a delight to share. As the saying goes…in everything like marriage… “it’s only a start of the adventure..” the real one is when you go through life….married life.

If you are broken-hearted, feeling alone and empty. Don’t stop praying for the one person who will accept you for who and what you are, even when your weight is more than 2x your size when you met him/her, when you’re wrinkly and grumpy. At times, you may be happy just loving yourself. Don’t force things which you can’t control. Accept things as they are and move on. Might as well be happy alone than be troubled and stressed with someone you thought who loves you the way you love them.

It’s about time

Finally, the day we’ve all been waiting for is over. Our beloved Sarah G. said “Yes” to her prince charming, Matteo G. As a fan and kind of stalker online for the lovebirds, I believe they’ve been officially “in a relationship” back in September 2013. It’s been 6 long years of being a couple.

There have been speculations of a secret proposal/marriage long before today’s announcement which made rounds in socmed. Though both Sarah G. and Matteo G. did not really confirm anything beforehand. The travels and dates alone together are sort of proof that their relationship already leveled up. It’s quite obvious, privacy is still of utmost importance considering their public status that is why we don’t see them on TV shows, movies or concerts together from the time they became official. People get a glimpse of them together in public places to eat, watch a movie, shop etc…and take pictures of Sarah and Matteo or like paparazzi then post them in socmed, those are moments that keep fans and supporters like me updated on their relationship.

Up to this day, I am one of those who wants to find out Daddy Delfin’s especially Mommy Divine’s reaction to Sarah and Matteo’s relationship before it came to this proposal. Now, things should no longer be a secret because the love birds are engaged. There may be some things need not to be told…we will let them be, as long as the promise to love today, tomorrow and forever shall be for soon to be Mr and Mrs. Guidecilli.

It is no surprise that fans and silent supporters are excited for the next chapter of Sarah G’s life. Ever since she gained freedom to go out on a date in the public eye, Sarah’s career and colorful love life became a hot issue to this day. The way she talks, giggles and compose herself as a woman is very evident now. She may still have little inhibitions because she has to protect her image as a role model to the younger generation. She always shines because her honesty and sincerity radiates. I remember, the first few months that I was in the United States with my husband- I felt so lonely because I miss my family back in the Philippines. I find comfort watching Sarah’s videos and reading articles about her. It is also the reason why I came up with this blog “For the love of Sarah G!”

Sarah Geronimo Dharma I still can’t believe Sarah will soon celebrate her 31st birthday. Can’t help but be a little emotional too because she’s like family to me since I followed her career from the time she won “Star for a Night.” Her first ever song that was also a major hit was like the national anthem to put my baby niece to sleep (she’s now 15 years old), and then became my own two kids’ favorite song to put them to sleep (they are 4 and almost 2 years old now) how time flies!

There are speculations going around since last year about Sarah being engaged to Matteo. We’ve seen them together since 2013. Their relationship is described as “Against all odds” by many because of the apparent strictness of Sarah’s parents, though we don’t know for sure if it’s true all along. As a parent myself, I want to protect my kids (especially they are girls) from getting hurt. Although we can’t control what the future holds and getting hurt is part of growing up. As much as possible, I want to guide them to follow the right path.

Matteo and Sarah G If Sarah will be married soon, it’s no surprise because she is of age. For sure, she is going to be a very good wife and a great mom. We may not see her as active in showbiz anymore (going to miss her so much), and we will miss more collabs like this with Daniel Padilla. She deserves to enjoy a low key life after years of entertaining us.

Sarah G beyond her years!

April 14, 2018, marks the 15^th year of the Popstar Royalty, “Sarah Geronimo” in the Entertainment industry. She is the epitome of a successful performer that evolved through the years. Sarah G remained grounded in spite of all the accolades she received all these years. New talents and discoveries emerged, but she still remains on top. Everything she does, may it be a random date with her boyfriend Matteo Guidecilli, a trip to a dentist, a sporting event etc. can’t be ignored by the public eye because she is Sarah Geronimo. Her amazing talent took her to another level when it comes to awards and admirers. She won as the Best Asian Act for consecutive years. Fans from different parts of the world are taking time to react to her concert videos, music videos, variety show videos, mall tour videos, TV guesting videos and so on…it’s a very long list.

Sarah’s endearing personality is a hit to the masses. At times, her critics bash her about doing covers of international artists, questioning why she can’t do original covers. We may not hear her comment in social media or interviews about numerous negative comments about her, but she dealt with criticisms the best way she can. That’s why Sarah’s team of producers and composers came up with more original songs which created the album, “The Great Unknown” that was released in 2015 and became a huge success, and is still selling up until now.

Newbies in the entertainment industry should learn from Sarah. A lot of newcomers from talent competitions are being pushed by network producers, music producers and such. They get exposures to showcase their talents, and fans would later compare them to Sarah G. The kind of behavior fandoms depict is to try to discredit the popstar royalty. With all of the negativity thrown to Sarah, Popsters (both official and non-official) are always there to defend her. I consider myself a silent supporter of Sarah. I try to make time to write about her when I am not busy being a wife and a parent here in the U.S. She is my stress reliever. Too bad I can’t be there to watch her “This 15 Me” concert tonight and I can’t watch her concert tour here in the US as well because of financial reasons, but I am happy to be a part of her journey, though she doesn’t know me personally. I hope to see Sarah soon on our vacation in the Philippines in the next few months, especially with my daughter that’s her fan.

I can’t imagine how time fly so fast. Browsing through my old posts. I realized it’s been quite sometime. My first born daughter is almost 3 years old now. She’s so “bibo” , loves to watch Sarah G’s performances in YouTube in between watching her favorite animated educational shows online. Though I’ve been so busy with my youngest daughter of 5 months now. I make sure , i have equal time for each of my girls. They grow up so fast. And i don’t want to miss their milestone.

Here’s one of the few times she sang Sarah Geronimo’s Forever’s not Enough. Here’s her own Version : My 2 year old fil-am baby girl singing . I wish Sarah G will notice her. Looking forward on watching her concert with my girls. We miss the Philippines so much. I am a full-time mom, and I so miss my hometown, Cebu City. I hope someone will get to notice my blog and will help me and my family in any way to get good deals on air fare and accommodation when we’ll go on a vacation there Soon. I want to watch Sarah Geronimo in ASAP live and in concert again.

How would you define Independence?

You may end up googling and find its meaning in Wikipedia or Websters. This generation is very much influenced by western culture that every little thing will resort to an argument when Independence or freedom is talked about. So what is freedom or independence for you? Is it being free from talking about yourself, status in life or about other people’s misfortune, their physical appearance, and so on…? It doesn’t matter how you perceive freedom or independence. It is on how responsible you are in exercising your freedom. Just like media for example, i grow up curios about TV and print media. My day isn’t complete without being informed on the latest happenings locally and around the globe. As I grew older I became more interested in politics and tv personalities (which is obvious :)).

Since 2003, the time I’ve watched the reality TV show where my ultimate idol Sarah Geronimo won. She was so charming and down to earth. I am not an official fan club member of popsters, but I supported her in every way i can. Even now that I am a million miles away. I have witnessed her humble beginnings based on the print and ad news. Bought some of her CD’s, Magazines that featured her, went to her concerts in Cebu (not all because I’m quite thrifty, and I had ample bills to pay back then :)).

As a witness to Sarah’s humble beginnings then and now. I can’t help to praise her more, for all these years- she is still the same down to earth person. People around her may have changed, like her parents, relatives or fellow artists, but not Sarah. Her freedom to do things her way have always been an issue. The jolly and an amazing performer enjoying her every performance on stage is totally different when cameras aren’t rolling. She isn’t free to do things a normal young adult could do. It was understandable because she has to depict an image for her followers, especially the youth. She remained innocent and level-headed as years passed. The constant guidance of her parents were admired by everyone, but not when her young heart started to beat. Media speculated on how her parents treat her- like a fish in an aquarium. Sarah was mum and didn’t bad mouth her parents. She stood by them all the way. A good daughter managed to overcome her heartache with her parents around. She knew, they would only wish the best for her and that every decision she makes would always need their approval.

Now, at the age of 27 turning 28 this year. She has all the reasons to take control of her life as an adult. Of all the years of sweat, blood and tears to reach her dreams and to give her family a very good life. She deserves her freedom. It doesn’t mean rebelling from her parents (as what others may see it). It’s being free to go out, watch a movie/concert, eat out, drive, run errands herself or spend time with friends and boyfriend. It is so selfish not letting her do these things. Her values remain no matter how independent she can be because it’s already in her. Who are we to judge? People may take advantage of her innocence. But for sure, she will trust her instinct. She always find goodness in every person that’s why I and my fellow fans love her dearly!

Thank you for being a good example to both young and old queen Sarah G! I wish you a well-deserved freedom. God is always watching over you. We love you!!!

Paano ba ang Magmahal (the Breakup playlist) ?

There’s no enough words to describe “Love”. Love, is complex. Merong pagmamahal na para sa mga magulang, kaibigan, at sa mga taong inspirasyon mo sa buhay. When you ask yourself the question “paano ba ang magmahal” ? , that’s when you try to assess how you give love and how much love you want in return. Some people always want reassurance. In this case, love can be selfish. We tend to expect a lot from our significant others, family, friends or those people important to us. This is not what Love is all about. For love is not selfish; it is giving, no matter what the future holds. But still, one should not forget to value oneself. Not to be blinded by mere emotions. When things go wrong we are still whole. It may be so easy to say to guard ourselves “mind over heart” or heart over mind..it won’t matter because in the end, it boils down to our own happiness. As I always say… follow your heart, but still keep yourself grounded.

We should learn a lot from this movie “The Breakup Playlist” of our Princess Sarah G! and Mr. Piolo Pascual. With all that’s happening in the world today, we deserve to watch this feel good movie.

It feel so good to have witnessed our love birds showing the world how much they love each other; there’s no question about it. In spite, of the never ending speculations that mommy divine is not yet totally ready for our princess Sarah G to let her guard down. I am already a mom myself, and every time I look into my baby’s eye and talk to her about my dreams for her. I just love her, to the point that I would want her to take charge of her life when she’s ready.

As parents, we have to let go of our children.. in a sense that they have to explore the world on their own. No matter what the consequences may be. Along the way, lessons will be learned. Our children will always be grateful on how we brought them up. We shouldn’t be afraid to let them experience life the way they want it to be.

Sarah and Matteo showed us how much they mean to each other. I may not be there in person to have witnessed the celebration. Every move they made was a proclamation of the promise of Love Against all odds!
